Programs

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Local middle and high school students are encouraged to volunteer at the library. They shelve books, help the children with their homework and perform other duties for community service hours required by their schools.

 HOMEWORK CONNECTION FOR KIDS

The Homework Connection is a program in which volunteers, many of them retired teachers, tutor elementary school students in the afternoons after school.  Children are assisted with reading, math and other subjects.

READERS OF THE PURPLE SAGE

The Readers of the Purple Sage meet the fourth Monday of each month to discuss a book.  All are welcome to come.

ART EXHIBITS

Visit the Schuyler Meeting Room/Gallery on any given day and view the works of our talented local artist.  Are you an artist?  Would you like to see your work displayed in our beautiful Schuyler Room.  See below for details on how to apply.

Once per month the friends of the Library host a FREE Monday afternoon matinee on our state of the art movie screen.  Join us for popcorn and a movie.  Check our calendar for details or call 561-881-3330.
