Access The Library’s E-books: E-cards Available For Adults

In an effort to make it easier for people to access our digital collections of e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, and videos, adults may sign up for e-cards by calling or emailing the library, or through our website.

To obtain an e-card, please contact the Lake Park Public Library at 561-881-3330, email us at askhere@lakeparkflorida.gov, or click on “Contact Us” in the ribbon above and fill in the information under “Ask Here!” Please include “e-card” in the subject line.

In order to create your e-card, we need your full name, phone number, and email address. Your e-card is only good for digital materials from RBDigital, Overdrive/Libby, and CloudLibrary, which can be accessed through the library’s website or an app.

If you would like to eventually check out items at the library, we invite you to come in and complete the library card application, which requires additional information as well as a valid driver’s license or state ID with your current address. If you have children, you may get their cards at this time.

If your child’s school would like them to read e-books, they may use your account. The Lake Park Public Library cannot restrict access by children to any of the digital collections. Card holders can restrict their cards so that only materials appropriate for children or young adults may be found on Overdrive/Libby. It is not possible at this time to restrict access in CloudLIbrary.

When using email or website contact, e-cards may take up to three business days to process. For further information, please contact the Lake Park Public Library at 561-881-3330, email us at askhere@lakeparkflorida.gov, or stop by when we are open.
