We want you to know that the Lake Park Public Library is here for you! We had to close for a little while due to the COVID-19 spread, but we’re back and excited to serve you. Things may be a little different for a while, with limited hours and services inside the library, but we are thrilled to be able to offer a new array of virtual programming to help meet your needs.

We’re sad that we don’t get to see everyone’s faces during Story Time at the library right now, but we can still have fun with Story Time online! Pig In A Wig Story Time & Activity
Pre-recorded videos will have stories, fun activities and/or songs for children to enjoy from the comfort of their own home. This story is about a pig in a wig on a boat in a moat.
The story will be followed by a Grab-and-Go craft where we'll be making paper pigs in wigs. Craft supplies will be made available for patrons to come pick up and take home, while supplies last.
Narwhals And Other Animals With Horns Story Time & Activity
Pre-recorded videos will have stories, fun activities and/or songs for children to enjoy from the comfort of their own home. This story is about narwhals and other animals with horns we love.
The story will be followed by a Grab-and-Go craft where we'll be making a toilet paper tube narwhal craft for 3rd – 5th graders and a narwhal letter N craft for preschoolers. Craft supplies will be made available for patrons to come pick up and take home, while supplies last.

Constellations: Science And Stories In The Sky
Summer is the finest part of the year for stargazing because it offers warm nights and the beauty of the Milky Way running straight overhead. The constellations we see have been passed down to us across generations with patterns that reflect different stories from around the world. As part of STAR Net‘s Sky Stories campaign, the American Museum of Natural History’s own Carter Emmart will show you how to identify the constellations and introduce you to a few of these stories while exploring some of the science behind the familiar patterns in the sky.
